Started our journey from Colombo at around 8.30AM and reached "The Waterfall Villas" in Talawakelle at around 1PM where we were planning to spend the night at. Forgot to bring some cash with me and the nearest ATM was in Talawakelle.
"The Waterfall villas" is situated in Talawakelle area surrounded with beautiful mountains and facing St Clair’s Waterfall.
We booked the place FB basis, so we started with lunch. They offered set menu with multiple choices for all lunch, dinner and breakfast.
The View was amazing and mind-blowing!!

You can see the Devon Falls from the top of "Mlesna Tea Castle".
After having a superb cup of tea (make sure it is without sugar 😃 ) we started our journey back to colombo but not via the main road but through Nawalapitiya, Dolosbage, Dedugala, Bulathkohupitiya and Avissawella.
We turned to B317 road from Dimbula Junction towards Nawalapitiya. It was a great experience driving on this road as the road was surrounded by a range of mountains with lush green tea plantations. Since it was the rainy season we were able to see lots of water streams here and there. luckily it didn't rain that day but was cloudy.

We bought our lunch from Nawalapitiya since it was 2PM by that time and bought some juice from the Nawalapitiya Cargills food city.
Then we turned to the B318 road from Nawalapitiya heading towards Dolosbage.

From Dolosbage we took the B588 Road towards Bulathkohupitiya. The first 2KMs were a very rough drive and you may need a 4wheel drive to handle it. But i managed with my suzuki Alto 800 :p but will not advice anyone to take this route as first 2 KMs were under construction. Please check the road condition before you take this route.
The view from both sides of the B588 route was fantastic. This road ends from Dedugala and from Dedugala B67 starts towards Bulathkohupitiya.
We saw "Rukmal Ella Falls" on the way

And on the way to Bulathkohupitiya we saw some more beautiful sceneries.
And a waterfall called "Rikili Falls"

Journey to Bomburu Ella and Kadiyanlena Ella

This time we planned to visit Bomburu Ella and Kadiyanlena Ella... We started our journey at around 3.30 in the morning and the last one to pick was in Avissawella. It was 6AM when we had our breakfast and left Avissawella.  On our way we stopped at St. Clair Viewing Gallery to have a look at the St. Clair Waterfall. When we were passing Nanuoya, the Surrounding mountain tops were covered with mist. We had our lunch from Nuwaraeliya and turned to A5 road towards Welimada. Turned left from Galahagama junction and after about 4.5 KMs again turned left. There was a sign board on the road. The view was amazing towards our destination and around 2.30 in the afternoon we reached it. Our plan was to spend the night at "Bomburu ella village hotel" which was run by a villager who lived near the Bomburu ella bus stand. Tissa is the owner of it and the cost was very affordable. We could see Bomburu ella from Tissa Aiya's place. It was about 2.5 KMs away from t

Outing to Amaara Forest Hotel Sigiriya and Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa Pasikuda

We planned to go on an Outing to Amaara Forest Hotel Sigiriya and Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa Pasikuda since there was a credit card offer for most of the hotels in Sri lanka. On day one we started our journey at around 10 in the morning from Colombo to Sigiriya. We took the Expressway to Katunayake and took Minuwangoda, Divulapitiya, Giriulla, Narammala, Kurunegala and Dambulla route to Sigiriya. We reached Amaara Forest Hotel Sigiriya at around 3 in the evening and had our lunch. Dinner was arranged in their Forest restaurant in an open area and it was a different experience in a star hotel. It was drizzling but we had a good time inside the forest. The staff at Amaara Forest hotel were very friendly and the environment was well maintained without disturbing the natural look of the forest and the feeling was amazing. Weldone!! We had our breakfast the following day morning at around 8AM and started our journey towards Pasikuda. W
